This yellow gold ring is a nugget style, originally designed to hold 
several 3mm round stones (none were ever mounted).
Our customer wanted diamonds from another ring (9.5mm x 4.25mm marquise) 
and an ear stud (4.5mm round) re-mounted into the ring.
To accomplish this, we removed the old stone mounts from the nugget ring 
and then added new settings for the two diamonds.
We removed the diamonds from the customer's old mountings, cleaned them, 
and then mounted them in the nugget ring.

 
This is a rather stunning large yellow (yes, intensely yellow) topaz, 
remounted in 14 karat white gold.  We removed it from a fairly massive and unattractive 
yellow gold setting.  The camera was, unfortunately, unable to capture the 
almost-canary color of this unusually-colored topaz.  The open, light white setting 
really enhances the stone, which was lost in the old setting.
